Hello, everyone! Welcome to our special school, Desing Elementary! Our school is over 60 years old, which means it has seen many, many children grow up and learn amazing things.

Our Special Village

Our school is in a village called Jhucijhen. It's a really unique place because it's a Hakka village, and it's surrounded by four other towns: Yongjing, Sicou, Pusin, and Tianwei. Imagine our village as a cozy secret garden!

The people in Jhucijhen are very kind and hardworking. They really care about education, and that's why our school is so loved! A long time ago, when our school had its 60th birthday, the villagers even raised a lot of money (1.3 million NT dollars!) to help our school. Isn't that amazing? It shows how much they love Desing Elementary!

In our village, there's a special temple called Linji Temple that's been here for a very, very long time. It's like the heart of our village. So, we have "one village, one school, one temple" – all connected, just like a big family!

When you walk around Desing Elementary, you'll see tall trees and hear birds singing. It's like a peaceful paradise, full of nature's beauty!

We have lots of cool things to learn here:

• Music Fun! We have a recorder club that's been around for over 20 years! Our students are super talented and have won many awards in music competitions. They work really hard and sound beautiful!

• Farm-to-Table Learning! We have our very own greenhouse farm at school! We plant yummy vegetables, fruits, and fragrant herbs and flowers depending on the season. It's so much fun to watch things grow and learn where our food comes from.

• Learning English and Tech! We're learning English and even have special teachers from other countries and young people visiting to help us practice speaking English. This helps us talk to friends from all over the world! We also use cool technology like tablets to help us learn in new and exciting ways. It's like having a superpower for learning!
